Project Blue Book Case #1185. On May 7, 1952, an unidentified object was observed at Keesler Air Force Base — the third Blue Book unknown from the Air Force's electronics and radar training center (joining Cases #1987 from August 1952 and #9345 from April 1965). Keesler's accumulation of three unknowns was deeply ironic — the base that trained America's radar operators couldn't identify objects over its own facility.
May 1952 was in the wave's buildup phase. The case was classified "Unknown."
