Project Blue Book Case #1151. On April 24, 1952, a bright object was observed over Clovis, New Mexico — a city adjacent to Cannon Air Force Base (then Clovis AFB), a Tactical Air Command fighter-bomber installation on the eastern New Mexico plains near the Texas border. Clovis's position on the Llano Estacado provided the same vast, flat horizons found across the High Plains.
New Mexico continued its extraordinary production of Blue Book unknowns. Clovis/Cannon added to cases from Albuquerque, Los Alamos, Alamogordo, Artesia, and other locations across the state. The case was classified "Unknown."
