Third Blue Book unknown at Selfridge AFB air defense base, Michigan (1950)

Project Blue Book Case #650. On March 3, 1950, an unidentified object was observed at Selfridge AFB — the third Blue Book unknown from this Air Defense Command installation (joining Cases #1380 and #1680 from July 1952). Three cases across two years made Selfridge's air defense crews chronic victims of their own inability to identify the things they were specifically trained to identify. The case was classified "Unknown."
