Project Blue Book Case #2361. On January 28, 1953, an unidentified object was observed at Point Mugu, California — the Naval Air Missile Test Center on the Ventura County coast. Point Mugu was where the Navy tested its most advanced missiles, including the Sparrow and Sidewinder air-to-air missiles that would become the standard armament of American fighters. Personnel who tracked missiles at thousands of miles per hour could not identify this object. The case was classified "Unknown."
