The Towers Building, also known as the Scottish Rite building, in Hamilton, Ontario, is a grand Masonic lodge that was featured on the Canadian paranormal show Knock Knock Ghost. The building, with its distinctive tower and ornate interior, has served Hamilton's Masonic community since the early 20th century. The poltergeist-like activity reported in the building includes lights flickering in patterns that spell out Morse code-like messages, doors slamming in the ceremonial rooms, and the sound of chanting and footsteps during the night when no meetings are scheduled. Some members and staff have reported seeing a robed figure in the lodge's ceremonial hall, standing near the altar in a position associated with Masonic ritual. The figure appears to be performing a ceremony, oblivious to modern observers, before slowly fading from view. The Masonic tradition's emphasis on ritual, secrecy, and symbolism adds a unique dimension to the building's haunted reputation — some investigators have speculated that the decades of focused ritual activity within the lodge may have created conditions conducive to paranormal phenomena. Hamilton's Masonic history dates to the early 19th century, and the Towers Building represents one of the most architecturally significant Masonic buildings in Ontario.
