Project Blue Book Case #1263. On June 8, 1952, another unidentified object was observed over Albuquerque, New Mexico — the fourth Blue Book unknown from America's nuclear weapons capital (joining Cases #642, #955, and #2249). No American city outside the New Mexico corridor matched Albuquerque's production of repeat unknowns.
Albuquerque's Kirtland-Sandia-Manzano complex constituted the most sensitive nuclear weapons infrastructure in the country. The city's four unknowns, spanning from 1950 to 1952, established it as the single most persistent UFO-nuclear correlation in the Blue Book database.
June 1952 was in the wave's buildup. The case was classified "Unknown."
