Project Blue Book Case #6462. On August 10, 1959, an unidentified object was observed at Goose Bay — the fifth Blue Book unknown from this Arctic air defense installation. Five cases across eight years made Goose Bay the single most prolific repeat-sighting military base in the entire Blue Book database. The base whose sole mission was to identify and intercept every aerial threat had now failed at its own mission five separate times. The case was classified "Unknown."
